South Sumatra is one of the provinces in Indonesia located in the southern part of Sumatra Island. This province has its capital in Palembang. Geographically the province of South Sumatra is bordered by Jambi province in the north, Bangka - Belitung Islands province in the east, Lampung province in the south and Bengkulu province in the west, thus for those of you who are in Palembang or South Sumatra you can also visit other existing areas on the island of Sumatra, of course, can enjoy a variety of natural Indonesia.

Songket can also be a good gift, although songket prices are quite expensive especially those made traditionally. Besides that Palembang is also famous for its patterned wood carvings which are influenced by Chinese and Buddhist designs. Wood carvings found in the furniture are dominated by jasmine and lotus flower decorations.
